  • Category: Model accessories – photo-etched elements
  • Product type: Photo-etched parts for plastic models

The Panzer IV Ausf. F2/G is an icon of German armored forces in World War II, widely used on all fronts of the conflict – from the Eastern Front (Battle of Kursk), through the deserts of North Africa (Afrika Korps), to operations on the Western and Italian fronts. The modernized Ausf. F2 variant, introduced in 1942, was equipped with a long-barreled 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/43 gun, which significantly increased its firepower in engagements against Allied tanks.

The Eduard 35990 set enables detailed enhancement of the Dragon Pz. IV Ausf. F2/G model. The photo-etched sheets contain precise additional elements such as ventilation grills, tool clamps, “schürzen” side skirts, hatch locks, mechanical details, and many subtle interior and exterior features. These complement the model, adding realistic texture and increasing the authenticity of the finished vehicle.

Difficulty level: 4/5 – The set is recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers who have mastered working with photo-etched parts and have experience enhancing 1/35 scale models.

Recommended for: Enthusiasts of German World War II tanks and modelers striving for historical accuracy in their builds. Using this set gives your model a museum-like quality and makes it stand out in exhibitions and modeling competitions.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
