The Flammpanzer III Ausf. F-1 was a modification of the classic Panzer III tank, adapted to be equipped with a flamethrower. Production of these vehicles began in 1942 in response to the fierce fighting on the Eastern Front, especially during the Battle of Stalingrad. These tanks were used to destroy fortified infantry positions, bunkers, and infantry trenches. In total, around 100 units were produced, serving among others in flammpanzer battalions of the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS.
