The Leichter Schützenpanzerwagen Sd.Kfz.250 was a German light half-track armored personnel carrier, produced by the DEMAG company from 1940. It was equipped with a six-cylinder Maybach HL 42 TRKM engine (4.2L, 100 HP), which enabled it to reach speeds of up to 65 km/h and a range of 320 km. The front armor was 14.5 mm thick, and the side shields were 8 mm. A distinctive feature was the open-top fighting compartment and a single rear door. The model represents the Ausf. B version, which was an improved design with a simplified and more functional hull. The standard armament was an MG 34 machine gun.

The Sd.Kfz.250/1 Ausf.B was used primarily for transporting mechanized infantry, reconnaissance, and for carrying ammunition or specialized equipment. It served, among others, during Operation "Barbarossa," on the Eastern Front, in North Africa, and during the campaign in France.
