Historical information – Fokker G-1

The Fokker G-1 was a twin-engine fighter designed and manufactured by the Dutch company Fokker in the 1930s. It was used mainly by the Dutch Air Force (Luchtvaartafdeling) during the period just before World War II and in the course of the Dutch campaign in 1940. The aircraft became famous for its combat actions against the Luftwaffe during the German invasion of the Netherlands. It was noted for its heavy armament, particularly including machine guns, the details of which can be faithfully replicated with the Quickboost QB48962 set.

Product advantages

  • Exceptionally precise detailing not available in the original Mikromir model – excellent separation and crispness of resin cast details
  • Easy assembly, plug & play compatibility for intermediate and advanced modelers
  • Realistic surface texture of the barrels, faithfully reproduced ends, making your model look much better both in display cases and at modeling competitions
  • Increased durability of barrels compared to plastic components

Who is this product for?

This set is recommended for modelers building 1/48 scale aircraft who value a high level of realism and historical detail accuracy. It will be especially appreciated by those specializing in World War II aircraft models and by competition enthusiasts.

Scale
1/48

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
