ICM 32061 AH-1G Cobra late production 1/32

ICM 32061 AH-1G Cobra late production 1/32 is a detailed plastic model kit of a combat helicopter for self-assembly, recommended for advanced modelers and enthusiasts of military equipment from the modern era and the Cold War. Faithfully reproduced in 1/32 scale, this kit allows you to recreate the late version of one of the most recognizable fire support helicopters, used primarily by the United States of America.

The original AH-1G Cobra was the world's first dedicated attack helicopter, designed specifically for airborne infantry support. Nicknamed “air artillery” thanks to its balance between mobility and effective firepower, the aircraft played a key role during the Vietnam War (1967–1975), where Cobras were crucial in escorting transport helicopters, supporting ground troops, and engaging armored targets. The kit details enable an accurate representation of the late version, including the characteristic armament set-up: 7.62 mm six-barrel Minigun, M129 automatic grenade launcher, and optional Strela anti-aircraft missile countermeasure equipment.

  • Scale: 1/32 – the ideal compromise between level of detail and ease of display.
  • Operator country: USA
  • Historical period: Vietnam War, Cold War, 1967-1975.
  • Material: Highest quality plastic; the kit does not include metal or resin parts.
  • Category: Plastic model kit for assembly
  • Glue and paints are not included; these products must be purchased separately.

ICM 32061 AH-1G Cobra model is aimed at experienced modelers who appreciate a high part count, assembly complexity, and historical authenticity. The kit features a highly detailed cockpit, weapon systems, and finely replicated structural elements such as engine gas exhaust systems. Thanks to a large variety of marking options and the ability to build different armament configurations, the kit can be personalized in many ways.

Recommended especially for advanced modelers (difficulty level: 4/5). This product makes an excellent addition to aviation military collections and is a valuable educational resource for learning about 20th-century technology and conflict history.

Scale
1/32

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
