Scale
1/48

What does the model scale mean?

The model scale designation, for example, 1:30, means that the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale determines the proportion, not the resolution or level of detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g., 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with a larger number (e.g., 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller—good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.

Historical Description of AGM-62 Walleye I ER/ERDL

AGM-62 Walleye is an American air-to-ground glide bomb distinguished by the use of a TV-guidance system. Developed in the 1960s, it was one of the first precision weapons of this type. It was used mainly by the US Navy and US Air Force. The ER and ERDL versions (Extended Range/Extended Range Data Link) allowed for extended range and real-time image transmission from the bomb to the operator in the aircraft.

This weapon was widely used during the Vietnam War, as well as throughout the Cold War until the late 1980s. It equipped aircraft such as the F-4 Phantom II, A-4 Skyhawk, and A-6 Intruder. Accurate strikes by the AGM-62 often resulted in the elimination of strategic infrastructure and military targets, significantly influencing the tactics of aerial conflict.

Who is this kit for?

Eduard 648615 AGM-62 Walleye I ER/ERDL is recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers. The small resin and photo-etched parts require precision and modeling experience during assembly. It is an excellent addition to any Cold War era combat aircraft model, enhancing the realism of dioramas and model collections.

  • Assembly difficulty: 3/5
  • Ideal for modelers building themes: USAF & US Navy, Cold War, Vietnam
  • Perfect for model enhancement and modeling contests
