Historical Description

The Pz.Kpfw.VIII Maus was an experimental German super-heavy tank, weighing as much as 188 tons. It was armed with a powerful 128 mm KwK44 L/55 cannon and a coaxial 75 mm KwK L36.5 cannon. The armor thickness reached up to 240 mm. Only two prototypes were produced, which were not used in combat before the end of the war. Maus was captured by Soviet forces and transported to the museum in Kubinka, where it has survived to this day. This vehicle became an icon of German military engineering from the World War II era.
