Historical Information

The Gloster Gladiator aircraft, produced in Great Britain between 1936 and 1940, was the last biplane fighter of the RAF and one of the best-known British fighters of the transitional period between the biplane era and monoplane machines. It saw active combat in World War II and was also utilized by numerous countries: Norway, Finland, Belgium, Egypt, Greece, and China. Gladiators took part, for instance, in the fighting for Norway, the Winter War in Finland, and in operations in the Middle East.

Decal Sheet Contents

  • Original and carefully recreated emblems of the nations that operated the Gloster Gladiator – Finland, Norway, Belgium, Greece, Egypt, Lithuania, Iraq, and China
  • Precise unit badges, tactical numbers, and identification markings
  • Vivid colors and sharp details to ensure a striking model finish
  • Delicate decals that are easy to apply

Recommendation

The ICM D3204 decal is an excellent choice for demanding military and aviation modelers who want to recreate historic paint schemes of less obvious Gladiators operating outside of Great Britain. The product is especially recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers – we assess the application difficulty at 2/5. Also recommended for enthusiasts of historic variants and collectors of military aviation models from the first half of the 20th century.

By choosing ICM D3204 you are guaranteed the highest quality and authenticity of details – you will enhance your model with unique character and faithfully reflect the historical original.

Scale
1/32

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
