RS Model 92238 Bucker 131 B "Jungmann" 1/72 is a high-quality plastic model aircraft kit, faithfully reproducing the famous German trainer aircraft from the interwar period and World War II. This model, made in the popular 1/72 scale, is designed for modelers who appreciate precise detailing and the possibility to present various historical versions of the aircraft. The offered kit does not include glue or paints, allowing you to choose finishing materials according to your own preferences.

The Bücker Bü 131 "Jungmann" was a biplane trainer designed and manufactured by Bücker Flugzeugbau for the German Luftstreitkräfte. It first took to the skies in 1934 and remained the main equipment of Luftwaffe flying schools until the late 1940s. The aircraft was characterized by excellent flying qualities and great maneuverability. Thanks to its versatility, it was also used by the air forces of many European countries, including Switzerland, Spain, Bulgaria, and Finland, and after the war – even in some South American countries. It was instrumental in training future ace pilots during 1934–1945 (interwar period, World War II), and in some places it remained in service even longer, for example in Spain into the 1950s.

The RS Model 92238 kit offers as many as 5 marking variants, allowing you to choose the version of the aircraft from different countries and years:

  • Bücker 131B, Swiss Air Force, Lst, FL.Kp.55, January 1945
  • Bücker 131B, Spanish Air Force, Tablada 1937
  • Bücker 131B, D-EBZE, Berlin Rangdorf 1937 (German civilian version)
  • Bücker 131B, Bulgarian Air Force, Sofia-Bozuriste airfield 1940
  • Bücker 131B, Finnish Aeroclub 1940

The model kit is made of high-quality plastic, ensuring easy assembly and great durability of the finished model. The included decals allow you to build one of five unique historical versions. This kit falls under the category of 1/72 scale plastic model kits.

The RS Model 92238 Bücker 131 B "Jungmann" model is especially recommended for enthusiasts of aviation history, twentieth-century military fans, and collectors of trainer and sports aircraft. The difficulty level is rated at 2/5 – the model requires basic assembly and painting skills, making it ideal for both beginners and intermediate modelers.

Scale
1/72

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
