7.5 cm Pzgr.Patr.39 shells were the standard anti-tank ammunition used by the Wehrmacht in these vehicles. The Kw.K.40 L/43 and L/48 guns were mounted in the most popular versions of the Panzer IV tanks and the StuG III self-propelled gun. These types of ammunition played a key role in the battles on both the Eastern and Western Fronts during World War II—for example, in the Battle of Kursk or during the Normandy invasion.
