Scale
1/72

What does the model scale mean?

The model scale designation, for example, 1:30, means that the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale determines the proportion, not the resolution or level of detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g., 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with a larger number (e.g., 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller—good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.

A-Model 72285 D.H.60X 1/72 – Plastic Aircraft Model Kit

The A-Model 72285 D.H.60X is an excellent choice for aviation enthusiasts and historical modelling fans. In 1/72 scale, this precisely reproduced plastic model captures the smallest details of the construction of one of the most popular British sport and trainer aircrafts of the interwar period – the de Havilland D.H.60X Moth.

This machine was widely used in the United Kingdom, as well as in many Commonwealth countries and across Europe from the second half of the 1920s. The D.H.60X was developed as part of an improvement of the legendary Moth line, becoming the main training aircraft in flying clubs, air shows, and both civil and semi-military service. The design was also used by the British Royal Air Force during the 1920s and 1930s, where it primarily served for pilot training and the popularization of aviation.

A-Model 72285 D.H.60X 1/72 is a model produced with injection-moulded high-quality plastic. Thanks to this, surface details, wing ribs, propeller, and control systems are meticulously recreated. The set includes plastic sprues with assembly parts and a detailed instruction manual. Glue and paints are to be purchased separately, allowing for complete customization of the finish according to the selected historical version or national markings.

  • Scale: 1/72
  • Country of use: United Kingdom, Europe, Commonwealth countries
  • Period of operation: 1920s and 1930s, interwar period
  • Category: plastic model kit

The A-Model 72285 D.H.60X 1/72 kit is suitable for both experienced modellers and ambitious beginners. It enables you to develop your skills in precise cutting, sanding, and painting of the small components characteristic of biplanes from this era. Once assembled, the model makes an excellent addition to any historical aviation model collection.
