Scale
1/72

What does the model scale mean?

The model scale designation, for example, 1:30, means that the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale determines the proportion, not the resolution or level of detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g., 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with a larger number (e.g., 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller—good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.

A-Model 07296 Antonov An-32 Turboprop Transport Aircraft 1/72 – plastic model kit

The Antonov An-32 transport aircraft model in 1/72 scale from the renowned manufacturer A-Model is a proposal intended for advanced aircraft modeling enthusiasts. The kit is designed for self-assembly and requires the use of glue and model paints (not included). Thanks to its precise replication of structural details, it offers exceptional satisfaction during assembly and a unique model for the collector's shelf.

History and application of the Antonov An-32

The Antonov An-32 is a Ukrainian (formerly Soviet) transport aircraft, developed by the Antonov design bureau based on the popular An-26. Its first flights took place in 1976, and mass production began in the 1970s, being intensively used both by military forces and civilian operators around the world up to the present day. The An-32 was distinguished by its powerful AI-20 turboprop engines, which allowed it to operate in demanding climatic and geographical conditions, especially at high temperatures and at airfields located high above sea level. The aircraft was used by the armed forces of the USSR, India, Ukraine, Sudan, and many other countries in Asia, Africa, and South America.

  • Model scale: 1/72
  • Countries of use: USSR, Ukraine, India, Sudan, Peru, Nigeria, and many others
  • Period of use: from the 1970s (Cold War) to the present day
  • Category: plastic model kit
  • Material: high-quality modeling polystyrene
  • Set contents: plastic parts to assemble the fuselage, wings, landing gear, decals, detailed instructions
  • Participated in, among others, military operations, rescue missions, civil and humanitarian transport

Why choose this model?

I especially recommend the A-Model 07296 Antonov An-32 model to advanced modelers – I rate the difficulty level at 4/5 due to the number of details and the demanding painting of large surfaces. Precise replication of the shape, realistic cockpit interior and available decals allow you to create an impressive and historically accurate model. This is an excellent choice for enthusiasts of Soviet and modern transport aviation.
