A few words about the historical background: The Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero was the primary carrier-based fighter of the Japanese Navy. It made history thanks to its exceptional maneuverability and range, engaging in battles over the Pacific from 1940 to 1945. The set includes detailed decals enabling you to make Zero models as piloted by distinguished aces such as Tetsuzo Iwamoto (Oppama, 1943 and the aircraft carrier Zuikaku, December 7, 1941 – attack on Pearl Harbor), as well as Tsugio Matsuyama and Sumio Nono (IJN Hiryu, Pearl Harbor, 1941).

Techmod decals are known for their exceptionally high print quality – with rich colors and sharp details, even in 1/48 scale. The material used allows for convenient and precise application of markings, while maintaining great durability. The product includes a complete set of insignia, stencils, and unit emblems – all in accordance with original historical documentation.

The set is intended for both beginner and advanced modellers who wish to enhance and faithfully recreate Mitsubishi Zero models from important episodes of World War II. The application difficulty is rated at 2/5 – the detailed instructions and modern Techmod printing mean that an impressive effect is within every modeller’s reach.

We recommend this product to all aviation modelling enthusiasts, especially those building a collection of aircraft from the Pacific Front or recreating scenes from the attack on Pearl Harbor. Excellent quality, historical accuracy, and numerous color scheme options guarantee satisfaction for both collectors and competition modellers.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
