Mitsubishi Ki15-I, also known as "Babs", was a fast reconnaissance and light bomber aircraft used during border conflicts in Manchuria and in the early battles in the Pacific. It was mainly in service from the second half of the 1930s to the early stages of World War II. Mitsubishi Ki46-II/III "Dinah" on the other hand, is a long-range reconnaissance aircraft famous for its speed and agility, as well as high effectiveness in delivering reconnaissance information during 1941–1945. The Ki46-III variant featured an improved engine and aerodynamic design, making it one of the fastest aircraft of its type in its era.

The models feature high build quality: precise cockpit elements, detailed fuselage and wing surfaces, clear panel lines, and a rich set of decals, allowing you to choose from several authentic paint schemes. This allows modelers to recreate both early and late World War II machines.

Assembly difficulty level: 3/5 – an ideal set for both intermediate modelers and ambitious beginners interested in historical aviation.

The Hasegawa 02243 Mitsubishi Ki15-I & Ki46-II/III set is recommended for every history enthusiast and collector of Japanese military aircraft. It is a perfect choice to expand a World War II collection, guaranteeing satisfaction from both construction and display.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
