Historical Context of the MG 14 Parabellum

The MG 14 Parabellum was a German machine gun used mainly in the observer’s positions of Luftstreitkräfte aircraft during World War I. This weapon, developed by Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken (DWM), was one of the key armaments of aircraft such as the Albatros C.III, DFW C.V, and LVG C.VI. The MG 14 Parabellum stood out for its lower weight and adaptation for use in movable aircraft mounts during the period from 1914 to 1918.
