Eduard 73449 Spitfire F. Mk. VII 1/72 ITALERI – upgrade set for 1:72 scale model

Eduard 73449 is a high-quality accessory set dedicated to the Supermarine Spitfire F. Mk. VII fighter aircraft model in 1:72 scale, produced by ITALERI. Designed for modelers who wish to significantly improve the level of detail and authenticity of their model, this set is manufactured by the renowned Czech company Eduard. It includes photo-etched parts, allowing for precise replication of even the smallest details of the Spitfire cockpit and exterior surfaces.

  • Scale: 1/72
  • Country of service: United Kingdom and Allies
  • Historical period: World War II (years 1942-1946)
  • Material: Photo-etched metal (brass, stainless steel); the set does not include plastic parts and is an add-on for the ITALERI model
  • Product category: Upgrade set, photo-etched accessories for plastic models

The Supermarine Spitfire F. Mk. VII is one of the most advanced versions of the legendary Spitfire fighter used by the RAF during World War II. The Mk. VII version featured a pressurized cabin and extended wings, which enabled high-altitude flights. These aircraft mainly served as interceptors for German bombers and as long-range escorts. The Spitfire F. Mk. VII was introduced into service in 1942 and took part in many key air operations until the end of the war in Europe.

The Eduard 73449 set enables advanced personalization of the Spitfire F. Mk. VII model. On the photo-etched fret you will find, among other things, cockpit elements (instrument panel, seat belts, side panels), landing gear and armament details, ventilation grilles, as well as small external parts that increase the realism of the replica. The use of etched parts adds depth and realistic detail that cannot be achieved with plastic components.

We recommend this product to intermediate and advanced modelers—the assembly difficulty is rated at 3/5. Using photo-etched parts requires precision and experience, but the final effect is incomparable to the base model. Eduard 73449 will allow you to create a unique miniature aircraft that will attract attention at any exhibition and satisfy even the most demanding World War II enthusiasts.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
