The M792 Gama Goat is the ambulance version of the popular Gama Goat vehicle, designed for mobility in difficult terrain and used from the end of the Vietnam War through the Cold War era.

The original M792 Gama Goat was used primarily by the United States Army from the 1970s until the mid-1990s, when it was replaced by newer vehicles. Designed to operate in conditions requiring high mobility and the ability to overcome difficult terrain, this six-wheel-drive ambulance featured a unique articulated construction and all-wheel drive, making it excellent for wet, muddy, and varied terrain. The Gama Goat was widely used during the Cold War, including NATO bases in Europe and United Nations peacekeeping missions.
