The B1 Centauro is an 8-wheeled armored vehicle produced by the Italian company Iveco Fiat – Oto Melara (now Leonardo). The main purpose of the Centauro was to engage heavy armored targets thanks to its powerful 105mm gun. The “Late Version” represents the vehicle after extensive modernization carried out at the end of the 1990s – improved armor, electrically driven turret, and enhanced onboard electronics. The Centauro served, among others, during UN peacekeeping missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1990s), as well as in Kosovo and Iraq, demonstrating great mobility and firepower.

The Trumpeter 00387 model offers a realistic reproduction of the vehicle’s shape, a detailed running gear, well-marked armor panels, and a rich imitation of the turret’s interior and commander’s cupola.
