Aber 35G09 Grilles for german tank Pz.Kpfw. II, Ausf.L Luchs (SD.Kfz.123) (1/35)

The Aber 35G09 Grilles set includes high-quality photo-etched parts designed for the German light reconnaissance tank Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. L "Luchs" (Sd.Kfz. 123) in 1/35 scale. This is a professional modeling accessory, allowing for highly detailed reproduction of the engine and cooling system grilles characteristic for this vehicle version.

  • Scale: 1/35
  • Country of use: Germany
  • Operational period: World War II (approx. 1942–1945)
  • Category: Model accessories – photo-etched set for plastic assembly models
  • Material: Precision brass sheet, photo-etched process
  • Set contents: Complete set of ventilation grilles for the Luchs, assembly instructions

The German tank Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. L "Luchs" was a modern light reconnaissance tank used by the Wehrmacht, mainly by armored reconnaissance units on the Eastern and Western fronts during World War II. Designed for rapid maneuvering and intelligence gathering, it was known for its mobility, quiet operation, and, for its time, advanced construction that provided speed and agility. Produced between 1942 and 1944, it took part in operations such as those in Normandy and on the Eastern Front.

The Aber grille set is an excellent choice to improve the realism of your 1/35 scale Luchs model. The ventilation grilles are made from high-quality brass, providing a level of detail impossible to achieve with plastic parts. Thanks to their extremely thin and precisely cut mesh, they perfectly replicate the appearance of the original. Photo-etched parts can be easily fitted to most available German Luchs plastic kits (e.g. Tamiya, Dragon, HobbyBoss).

I rate the assembly difficulty of Aber accessories at level 3/5. Basic skills in handling a hobby knife and tweezers as well as the use of cyanoacrylate glue are required. This product is especially recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers seeking the highest detail quality and realistic depiction of features in World War II dioramas. The set does not include a metal barrel or other resin add-ons – only photo-etched parts are provided.

Aber 35G09 Grilles is a product that will make your model truly stand out. Excellent quality, historical accuracy, and the highest level of detail guarantee satisfaction even for the most demanding 1/35 military modeling enthusiasts.

Scale
1/35

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
