Cyber Hobby 6497 Sd.Kfz.166 Stu.Pz.IV Brummbär Early Production 1/35

The Cyber Hobby 6497 Sd.Kfz.166 Stu.Pz.IV Brummbär Early Production model in 1/35 scale is an exceptionally detailed plastic model kit aimed at demanding military modelers. It represents the German self-propelled assault howitzer, known as the “Brummbär”, from the early production series, used by the Wehrmacht during World War II.

Historical Information and Application

The Stu.Pz.IV Brummbär vehicle (German: Sturmpanzer IV) was developed in response to the German infantry’s need for fire support during urban and assault fighting. Built on the Panzer IV tank chassis, it was equipped with a short-barreled 150 mm StuH 43 L/12 howitzer. The Brummbär was first used during the Battle of Stalingrad, and later took part in many important operations on the Eastern Front as well as in Normandy, Italy, and during the Warsaw Uprising. The usage period for this version was 1943–1945, a key era of World War II.
