Dragon 7276 Jagdpanther IV L/48 Early (1/72) – plastic model kit

The Dragon 7276 Jagdpanther IV L/48 Early in 1:72 scale is a faithful replica of the German tank destroyer used by the Wehrmacht during World War II. The Jagdpanzer IV series was developed in response to the growing need for more effective anti-tank vehicles capable of engaging Soviet and Allied tanks. The L/48 Early variant was equipped with a 75 mm KwK 39 L/48 gun, which provided early models with high anti-tank performance.

The conceptual design of the Jagdpanzer IV originated in 1942-1943, with full-scale production starting in 1944. These vehicles took part in combat on both the Eastern and Western fronts, including the Battle of the Bulge and the defensive actions of the Third Reich towards the end of the war. This model was characterized by a low silhouette, good frontal armor (up to 80 mm), and a relatively simple construction based on the Panzer IV medium tank chassis. The Early version featured the original configuration of details, including the front armor and arrangement of viewports, setting it apart from later versions with field modifications and additional side skirts.

  • Scale: 1/72 – ideal for dioramas and WWII vehicle collections.
  • Country of use: Germany (Wehrmacht), World War II (1944-1945).
  • Category: Plastic model kit (injection-moulded plastic kit).
  • Material: high-quality plastic, the set does not include glue or paints.
  • Features richly rendered details, sprues highlighting the shapes and layout of armor plates.
  • The box includes small parts such as barrels, wheels, and segmented tracks.
  • The set includes decals allowing you to mark the model according to original Jagdpanzer IV units.

Recommendation: The kit is especially recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers (difficulty level: 3/5) due to its precision and numerous small parts. It is a great addition to any World War II armored vehicle collection. Thanks to the authenticity of the details, the kit allows for a faithful recreation of the historical machine and is perfect both for battle reconstructions and display in a showcase.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
